Light the Path
Banquet & Benefit
THANK YOU from Holy Trinity Episcopal School!
You helped us raise roughly $30,000 for our Specialized Instruction & Services!
Our Inaugural Light the Path Banquet & Benefit was a huge success! We want to take this opportunity to thank all who made this night possible. Many, many thanks to all committee members, participants and sponsors of the 2025 Holy Trinity Episcopal School’s Banquet and Benefit held on May 19th. Over 230 people assembled at Leesburg’s Venetian Center in what proved to be both a gratifying and entertaining evening highlighted by musical selections by the school’s choruses, dinner, music by our solo pianist and speech by HTES’s Student Council President. Besides introducing our new Head of School, Ms. Becca Coulter, awards were presented for financial support to HTES, and teaching and volunteering for the HTES student body.
Along with support from our major sponsors, our silent auction, 50/50 chances and raffles baskets together netted $30,000! This money will provide student financial aid and help HTES as it launches the first HTES Extended Transition Program -- based at St. James Episcopal Church -- for those who have completed 12th grade, but need additional training before continuing their life’s journey. Without the support of Holy Trinity’s parishioners and the staff and faculty of HTES, we would not have achieved such an outstanding result. The 2025 Banquet Committee offers our grateful thanks for your generous, heartfelt support.
Please mark your calendar: The 2026 Banquet and Benefit returns to the Venetian Center on Monday, 20 April 2026, 5:30 – 8:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
A Word from Becca Coulter, Head of School
Now that the last report cards for the year have gone out and the graduation caps have been tossed, we can look back on a busy school year with gratitude and pride in all that has been accomplished. As the new head of school at Holy Trinity Episcopal, I am humbled and thankful for the kind reception and overwhelming support I have received. My thought going into this position at the beginning of April was to listen, learn, and support as we wrapped up the school year together. However, there were so many amazing things happening that it was more like hitting the ground running! It was amazing working with the Light the Path Banquet committee. In the different schools and states I have worked, never have I been a part of a team more dedicated to the mission of seeing a school succeed. That became evident to everyone who attended our first Light the Path Banquet. What an incredible evening from the engaging speakers to the delightful dinner and the wonderful, heartfelt entertainment by our students! We are so thankful for the financial support of our guests, but even more grateful for the overwhelming enthusiasm for our school and its mission. It was such a blessing to share our story and we truly feel that our circle of support has widened exponentially.
We are so proud of our eighth graders who were recently promoted to high school as well as our high school graduates! Of our seven high school graduates, one will be attending the police academy, another is enrolled at Trinity Baptist College, and the other five will be joining us in our new HTES Extended Transition Program. This exciting new program will serve students ages 18-22 to provide support in life skills and job skills as we help them access college or trade school courses and/or jobs in the community. We have been blessed to have a partnership with St. James Episcopal Church where our Extended Transition Program will be housed until we can add buildings to our HTES campus.
In addition to our new Extended Transition Program, we are adding an intensive reading program using a certified approach to addressing dyslexia. We hope to expand this program beyond our school day to offer reading tutoring after school to our students and others within our community. With so many exciting developments at our school, we are looking to the future and planning ahead for growth. Our current space limits us to only 49 students and does not include adequate office space or room for a teacher workroom. We have teachers sharing classrooms and some classes meeting in an office space. Beyond our current needs we are dedicated to including grades 3-5 in the near future. All educational research indicates that early intervention is key, especially with reading deficits. Therefore, as we develop our expertise in offering a unique, gold standard reading program, we will need to begin providing even earlier interventions. With all that in mind, we are looking forward to exploring our options to accommodate our growth. It’s an exciting time at HTES and we are thankful to everyone in our circle of support.
Thank you to our 2025 Sponsors!
