HTES is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools. As an Episcopal School, we uphold high standards and principles which give each HTES student a special advantage.
By weaving the Episcopal Principles – Worship, Community Life, Religious Formation and Study, and Social Justice - into the very fabric of the school’s overall life, Episcopal schools ensure that each school's mission is built on the sure foundation of a Christian love. This love guides and challenges all who attend our school to build lives of genuine meaning, purpose and service in the world they will inherit.
School Worship is a regular part of school life for all faculty and students.
We hold bi-weekly Chapel Services in the Church.
Attendance is required but participation is optional.
Community Life includes reflection, prayer, and honoring matters of the spirit as well as support for the physical, mental, and emotional health of students and faculty.
Religious studies are meaningful, academically substantive, and age appropriate. In teaching the Christian tradition, we foster dialogue with other faith traditions.
Social justice integrates the ideals and concepts of equity, justice, and a just society throughout the life of the school. We embrace and honor diversity; and we include community service and service-learning as an integral part of the life of the school.
